The goals for today's work are the following:  practicing reading and listening comprehension, practicing regular preterite verbs and irregular preterite verbs.

You will work on the following throughout the whole hour today.  You may not listen to music on the computer.  If you have your own mp3 player, that is fine.  YOU WILL LOSE THE COMPUTER AND YOUR POINTS FOR TODAY IF YOU ARE OFF-TASK AT ALL.  Enjoy!

 

1.  Get out the two papers you received yesterday:  In the Heights and Julieta Venegas.  Do the activities in the following order:

1. Take out the In the Heights sheet.  Listen to the mp3 and fill-in the blanks to the script.  You may listen twice. 
2. Listen to the mp3 while reading along with the script on the website.  Hover over the bolded words to see the English translation.  Underneath your sheet where you filled-in the blanks, summarize the reading in ENGLISH.
